Junior Pilot Summer Camp is a STEM camp at the air museum and part of the 727 STEM Learning Center sponsored by FedEx Express
The camp is for students entering or just completing 6th through 12th graders and will include hands on pilot training and airfield orientation.
Two Day Camp on July 14 and 15
All Day
High School Camp will run from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm each day - Day 1 meet at the museum: the JR Pilot camp for high schoolers will explore aviation career opportunities, what it takes to become a pilot, basic aeronautics, airport operations, regulations, aircraft performance, and airport operations. Day 2 meet at Hawthorne Global at 9:00 am: airport facility tours and a flight in Cessna 172 training aircraft provided by Graham Flying Service.
Middle School Camp will run two full days from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and be receiving instruction on the basics of flight, conducting hands-on experiments demonstrating the forces of flight, and have chances to win a Discovery Flight. This group will also tour airport facilities (COVID protocol permitting).
Bring a sack lunch or we will have a box lunch for them for an additional $10.
