MAMAT seeks an experienced and visionary Executive Director to lead the organization in achieving its mission and strategic goals. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide dynamic leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure the museum's continued success and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Fundraising and Development:
- Lead fundraising efforts, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and special events, to secure financial support for museum programs and initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, foundations, corporations, and community partners to expand the museum's funding sources and support network.
- Strategic Leadership and Vision:
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the museum's mission and objectives.
- Drive the development and execution of innovative initiatives to enhance revenue generation, fundraising efforts, educational programs, community outreach, and exhibitions.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation, to ensure the museum's long-term sustainability.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of staff and volunteers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Community Engagement and Public Relations:
- Enhance the museum's public image and visibility through effective marketing, communication, and community engagement strategies.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with stakeholders, including museum visitors, local residents, government officials, and media outlets.
- Program Development and Exhibits:
- Develop and oversee engaging educational programs, events, and exhibits that appeal to diverse audiences and promote the museum's mission.
- Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to curate and manage both permanent and temporary exhibits, ensuring high-quality visitor experiences.

- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred).
- Demonstrated success in fundraising, audience development, and revenue generation.
- Proven experience in managing business operations and supervising diverse teams.
- Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience with a range of $45,000 -$70,000.
