A Saturday night Big Band Dance is scheduled featuring the Mearl Lake Orchestra. The AIr Power History Tour crew is invited to attend. The dance is part of a week long visit with the Commemorative Air Force Ghost Squadron from Fort Worth, TX.
August 7 - 11 Ghost Squadron brings FIFI - the Superfortress B-29 & T-6 Texan into Sioux City's Gateway Airport. Access to the ramp is $15 for adults and $8 for youth age 10 through 17. Children under age 9 are admitted free. Tickets are at Gate 5, 6121 Pershing Drive, Sioux City. The ramp fee includes free admission to the Museum. The cost of rides ranges from $85 to $1,995 depending on aircraft type and seat location. Rides may be booked in advance at AirPowerTour.org where additional information about the event may also be found. LOCATION OF B29 will be positioned near Gate 5 on the south end of the field at 6121 Pershing Drive, Sioux City.
