CAMP IS FULL as of 6/8/24, you are welcome to put your name on a wait list by emailing [email protected] Junior Pilot Summer Camp is a STEM camp at the air museum and part of the 727 STEM Learning Center sponsored by FedEx Express The camp is for students entering or just completing 6th through 12th graders and will include hands on pilot training and airfield orientation. 2024 Two Day Camp Thursday and Friday Session 1 June 13 and 14 – 8th – 12th graders Session 2 June 20 and 21 for 6th – 7th graders Junior Pilots will be in this Two Day immersive mini ground school and pilot experience. The camp will include flight basics, cross country plotting, communication, airport operations, and take a Discovery Flight. Tours and ground school basics will be on the first day. The second day will be reserved for flying in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk. Camp runs on Thursday and Friday 9:00 am - 3:00 pm and begins at the air museum. Doors will open at 8:30 the morning of camp for check in. Come and see what is new this year. If you have attended a previous Junior Pilot Camp, teachers are always changing the activities while keeping some favorites. Bring water and lunch (or add a sack lunch to your cart).
