Updated December 16, 2020
We close the year without having one event or one visitor since March 18, but thankful for our director, Larry Finley, senior helpers, and Board of Directors who are mission driven and dedicated to maintain 30,000 square feet and 15 acres.

Thank you to all who have donated to the museum.  Please continue your support, and consider donating if you haven't yet.  Hopefull to see you in 2021.

COVID 19 CLOSING NOTES

July 7, 2020
We continue to be closed due to COVID 19 restrictions.  As much as we want to open our doors, the ability to offer a clean and safe environment is currently beyond our volunteer and staff capabilities.  We will update you as we have news.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18, 2020

We are in unparalleled times.  Our air museum life is making adjustments.

Beginning immediately Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation (located at 2600 Expedition Ct on the N E corner of Sioux Gateway Airport) will be temporarily closed to the public.

While we have a number of plans for 2020 with new events as well as our favorites, we are pausing to take care of each other.  The Center for Disease Control are providing guidelines to decrease density and lower the curve for spreading COVID-19.  We are abiding by the safest of the Iowa guideposts and CDC recommendations.

You can follow us on Facebook and our website for updates.  Board members and staff appreciate your understanding and support during this time.  If you have any questions please call the museum at 712-252-5300 or email at airmuseum@longlines.com
Keep Iowans and Americans safe!

Yours
Larry Finley                     Pamela Mickelson
